Visit from Progroup AG
Following a brief introduction of PTS by Managing Director Dr. Thorsten Voß, our guest received exciting insights into the diverse work of our business units:
- Steffen Schramm presented the possibilities of our pilot plants.
- Dr. Eric Häntzsche introduced the division Smart & Circular Solutions as well as our Device sales.
- In the laboratories of Dr. Martin Zahel (Fibres & Composites) and Dr. Antje Harling (Material Testing & Analytics), research, precision, and innovation took center stage.
Afterwards, there was an in-depth discussion with Stefan Karrer on current topics relating to the Forschungsstiftung der Papierindustrie. A particular focus was placed on the emerging Circular Packaging Technologies & Systems (CPTS) competence center, which will set new standards in the future and be unrivalled in Germany in terms of quantity and quality.
“The visit once again showed the central role of our location in Heidenau within the paper value chain. I am particularly pleased that we were able to identify numerous starting points for joint further development in our discussions with Progroup. Through our strategic partnership with Fraunhofer IVV and the Institute for Natural Materials Technology, we are combining unique expertise in the field of sustainable packaging technologies and unlocking huge innovation potential for the paper industry,” said PTS Managing Director Dr. Thorsten Voß.
The visit ended with a joint lunch and inspiring discussions about future developments and opportunities for cooperation.
