Which positions can I currently apply for at PTS?

You can apply for all positions advertised on the PTS Homepage via e-mail as usual.

How up-to-date are the job advertisements on the homepage?

Our job advertisements are updated regularly. All advertisements published on our homepage are vacant.

Are the advertised positions temporary or permanent?

In general, our positions are permanent. If this is not the case, it will be specifically stated in the job advertisement.

How can I apply?

Please send your complete application to career@ptspaper.de. We prefer applications by e-mail, as communication is usually less complicated and we can give you feedback sooner this way.

Postal applications are also possible in exceptional cases. Please send your application documents to the following address:

Can I send an unsolicited application?

Yes, you can send us an unsolicited application. PTS is always on the lookout for qualified specialists and managers.

Please also inform us about your specific job interests as part of your application.

Can I apply for more than one position at once?

If you meet the required qualifications, you are welcome to apply for several positions at the same time.

Which documents and pieces of information should my application documents include?

Application documents to submit (in one PDF document) and information to include:

  • Curriculum vitae
  • Meaningful cover letter
  • References
  • Job code
  • Desired entry date

Is there an application deadline?

If no deadline is mentioned in the job advertisement, you can apply as long as the advertisement is online.

I have not received any feedback on my application yet. What should I do?

It can take up to four weeks to review and coordinate your application with our specialist departments, so we kindly ask for your patience. As soon as a further decision has been made, you will be informed by the HR department and, if suitable, invited to an initial interview with a representative from the relevant specialist department.

What will happen to my data?

Your application documents will be destroyed in accordance with data protection regulations three months after completion of the application process. You can access the declaration on the collection and processing of personal data in accordance with Artikel 13 GDPR at https://www.ptspaper.de/de/datenschutz/ .

What do job interviews at PTS look like?

The application process may vary and is dependent on the job advertisment. Usually the procedure runs as described below:

  1. Application
  2. Confirmation of receipt
  3. Review of the application and pre-selection
  4. First interview with experts from the specialist department according to the content of the job tasks. Preferably, the interview takes place on the premises of the PTS in order to provide a tour of the future workplace and an impression of the diverse range of activities and the laboratories. Alternatively, there is the option of an online interview via MS Teams. 
  5. Second interview with our HR manager, the Head of Research & Transfer and the management at PTS. Among other things, contract details are discussed here.

What are the technical requirements for a video interview?

You will need either a PC/laptop with a webcam, a tablet or smartphone along with a stable internet connection and, if necessary, a headset with a microphone.

Do I need to consider anything special for an interview via Microsoft Teams?

We recommend that you check in advance whether the technical equipment is working properly. We also recommend that you choose an environment that is as quiet and distraction-free as possible for the interview.

I would like to apply for a position at PTS, but I don't have the technical requirements for a video interview. What should I do?

Please do not hesitate to apply anyway! If you do not have the appropriate equipment, it is also possible to arrange a telephone interview instead.

Do I have to bring my application documents for the interview at PTS?

There is no need to bring your documents to the interview. The documents you provide in advance are sufficient. If you would like to add anything or use the documents as a guide, you are of course welcome to do so.
