The "Aktion Zivilcourage" at PTS

What can we do when respect is lost in everyday life? No matter where we are, whether online, on the road, or just chatting with friends, things can get pretty intense. People get angry quickly, and it's hard to find someone who's really listening.

This makes it even more important to actively strengthen democratic values and promote respectful dialogue.

Commitment to democracy and social cohesion

On Monday, we had the pleasure of welcoming Sebastian Reißig, founder and executive director of Aktion Zivilcourage e. V., along with his colleague Mindy Erhardt Krull.

Since the 1990s, this nonpartisan organization has been offering valuable educational programs for people of all ages and has been working to strengthen democratic processes, especially in rural areas. It's all about values like civic engagement, human dignity, and an open, respectful exchange of differing opinions.

Donate instead of giving gifts

Here at PTS, we've been opting out of the usual Christmas gift-giving for a while now, choosing instead to support local causes. For example, last year we supported the "Aktion Zivilcourage " initiative.

The face-to-face conversations made it clear once again how important this work is for our society. It was a great chance to meet some of the people behind the initiative and learn about their important work.

We would like to sincerely thank our guests for visiting and look forward to continuing our dialogue.
