Sustainability Day at PTS: Insights into Careers in the Fiber and Paper Industries
As part of their “Green Day”, the seventh-grade students spent the morning gaining insights into various departments and job roles at PTS. Working in small groups, they explored the recycling, testing, and manufacturing departments and learned about the day-to-day tasks involved in each.
But it wasn’t just about listening. During a rally through the PTS, the students were able to get hands-on, complete various tasks, and apply their knowledge directly. At the same time, they had the opportunity to talk with our colleagues and learn more about training paths, job duties, and career prospects in the respective fields. To wrap things up, the program included a collaborative hands-on project: the students built their own treasure chests out of cardboard.
We would like to thank the 64th Secondary School for their visit and, of course, our team for taking the time to give the students a insights into their daily work.
