Students from TU Dresden visit PTS

At the beginning of April, we welcomed a group of students from the Institute of Food Chemistry at the Technical University of Dresden to Heidenau. The visit was part of the institute's own excursion week and offered the participants the opportunity to get to know PTS as a potential employer and partner for scientific cooperation.

The event focused on practical insights into PTS's work - from possible prospects after graduation to collaborations for theses and internships to the three-month internship as part of the second state examination for food chemists.

A special part of the program was a tour through our state-of-the-art pilot plants led by Steffen Schramm. The students also gained exciting insights into the laboratories of the Materials Testing & Analytics department, represented by Dr. Antje Harling, as well as Recycling, supervised by Lydia Tempel. The focus here was primarily on the topics of food contact materials and recyclability tests - key aspects of sustainability and innovation in food chemistry.

We would like to thank our guests for their interest and open discussion, as well as our colleagues for their dedicated support in organizing this successful event.
