Corrugated board – an innovative and sustainable product
The Arbeitsgruppe Wellpappe (AG Wellpappe) is a voluntary association of currently 30 experts from German, Dutch, Austrian and Swedish companies in the
- corrugated board industry
- paper industry
- mechanical engineering
- measurement, control and automation technology
- starch industry
- industrial research and consultancy
The purpose of this Working Group is to contribute to safe and robust processes throughout the corrugated board value chain, from raw paper to the end product, including the necessary raw and auxiliary materials and recycling, using technologies that conserve the environment and resources. The AG Wellpappe fulfils its tasks specifically by
- developing the technical foundations of processes through its own project work.
- expanding on these fundamentals through the conceptual and financial support of relevant research projects at universities and industrial institutes, such as PTS – Institut für Fasern & Papier gGmbH
- exchanging knowledge and experience amongst members and with guest experts from industry, with the aim of gaining a better understanding of cross-cutting interrelationships and developing a deeper understanding of the entire process chain.
