Dresdner Lange Nacht der Wissenschaften 2026

We pack our suitcase and bring along: mini trash cans, a recovered paper bale, two microscopes, and lots of corrugated cardboard.

On June 26, 2026, PTS participated in Dresdner Langen Nacht der Wissenschaften at Dresden University of Technology. From 5 p.m. to midnight, visitors of all ages had the opportunity to discover just how diverse research into paper, fibers, and packaging can be.

At our stations, visitors could examine fibers under a microscope, learn about the PBS waste paper bale testing machine, and make their own piggy banks, treasure chests, or sheep out of corrugated cardboard.

Participation was also encouraged in the paper airplane contest and the recycling quiz: Here, our guests could test their folding skills and demonstrate their knowledge of waste separation and recycling.

We are very pleased that, despite the midsummer heat, so many interested visitors stopped by, asked questions, tried things out, and experienced science with us.
