Science Meets Industry – IGF-Tag 2025
The focus was on exciting IGF projects run by the Forschungsstiftung der Papierindustrie and the Kuratorium für Forschung und Technik der Zellstoff- und Papierindustrie, which are funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy.
The day started with a presentation by Kerstin Lahser from the DLR Projektträger, ho gave participants a comprehensive insight into the IGF funding program. Afterwards, our PTS experts, together with colleagues from the Technical University of Darmstadt, the Technical University of Dresden, and the Sächsisches Institut für die Druckindustrie (SID), presented current research results and innovative solutions for paper production, processing, and other issues facing the paper industry.
Among the presented projects were:
- maNIPUlate – Aqueous non-isocyanate polyurethane dispersions from vegetable oils for bio-based paper coatings
- AkuPap – Paper-based room acoustic elements
- AProPrint – Absorption processes in the printing industry
- P2G-CatCarrier – Paper-derived ceramic carriers for microreactors for the chemical catalytic methanation of CO2
We would like to thank all contributors and participants for their open exchange, engagement, and shared passion for the future of the paper industry. The event once again showed how closely science and industry are working together to drive innovation.
