Together with the Dresden-based interface projects GmbH, the Papiertechnische Stiftung developed a modern portal for the rapid detection of material defects in paper production based on neural networks and deep learning. Initially, the PTS research database will be used as a demonstrator to show how problems and solutions in paper production can be linked on the basis of text recognition. Later, further modules for the recognition of image and material data are to follow.
